Who is affected?
Reporting will come into force gradually. Large companies that already fall within the scope of the currently valid Non-financial Reporting Directive will have to report a CSRD 'European sustainability reporting standard' for the first time in 2025 for the 2024 financial year.

From 2025, capital market-oriented companies that meet at least two of the following criteria will have to report:

Balance sheet total > EUR 25 million

Sales revenue > EUR 50 million

Employees > 250

From 2026 (with the first report in 2027), all SMEs and other listed companies (with 10-250 employees) will be affected.
